Lots of Change

Well, a lot of change has gone on this past semester.

Just to get it out there, I drank so much on my 22nd birthday that I threw up. That was a first. It's also quite a change from the fact that I never really thought I would drink at all. Thank god for awesome friends that take care of you when you're incapacitated.

Although, I have to say that blatantly hitting on some random straight guy at Denny's after returning from the club completely wasted was a lot of fun. I can't believe that I acted that way. It was so not like me. Alcohol does some strange things I must say. Thank goodness he didn't punch my lights out.

But enough with that. I can't believe that the spring semester is almost over. It's like wow. I still remember the first class of the fall semester. It seems like it was literally two weeks ago.

I also got a tattoo recently, that's a big change. It's the word "Hope" and it's on the inside of my right wrist. I love it.

Another big change that occurred is that I broke up with my boyfriend of two and a half years. That remains to be something that I still can't fully understand. I mean, I do and I don't know why I did. It was a great relationship, but something inside me pushed me to break up. I'm happy with the decision that I made, but I hate that I caused so much pain.

I'm also not going to be an resident assistant next semester. I'll really miss the job and living on campus, but I'm also glad that I'll be able to put more of my energy elsewhere. Specifically, my lab work with one of the professors here at SUNY Brockport and me being Vice-President of the gay-straight alliance again.

Well, there has been about a billion other changes, but I'll end now. The SOUL (gay-straight alliance) meeting is coming up soon so I should probably help prepare for it!

Take care!

Taking a leap

So I just took a leap, metaphorically speaking. Although it would be fun to jump around my dorm room at 1:30 in the morning, but I doubt the people below me would appreciate that.

Let's see how my leap plays out.

Conference Madness!

So I got back from the conference that I went to this past weekend. It was at UCONN, or the University of Connecticut. It was called true colors and it pertained to gay straight alliances for high schools and college campuses. It was a lot of fun! Our presentation that Angela, Kiki and I put on went very well too!

After the conference, we all piled into our rented minivan and drove to Boston and met up with one of Angela's friends, Josh. He was actually the president of our gay straight alliance last year. Once we met up, we had dinner and then hit the bars! We went to a gay bar called Machine in downtown Boston. It. Was. Awesome! It was just like I was on an episode of Queer as Folk! There were guys making out on the dance floor and gogo dancers! I had so much fun!

I've never really been to a gay club of that size before, so it was definitely an experience. The whole trip makes me want to move to a city right now! I'm definitely going to a city for my grad work!

Now I'm back home for spring break and about to go to the gym at Brockport. Gotta keep my weightlifting schedule up, ya' know? Anyways, I hope that you all have a good day and I'll talk to you soon!

Random stuff

Here's a random post about stuff that has been going on with me.

Did I mention that I'm helping a friend out with his senior thesis? He's a theater major, so he's directing Angels in America. He needed a few extra people, so he asked me if I wanted to act in it. Let me warn you that I have absolutely no acting experience, but I thought it would be fun. After the first practice, I have to say that I had a blast, but compared to all the theater majors, I can't act at all. Maybe it would help if I wasn't playing the part of a Man looking for sex in a park. I literally have butt sex on stage!!! But don't worry, it's behind a bench, so it's all good. I had to assume the position with a complete stranger (I now know him to be Carl, and he's cool with the fact that we have such a close realtionsip).

Other than that, classes are going well. I should be studying for a midterm, but I'll do that after I finish this post.

I'm also going to a conference this Thursday! It's for the Gay Straight Alliance here on campus. We're going to Connecticut and then we're taking a field trip to Boston to see a friend. It's gonna be fun!

As for the weightlifting, it's going pretty well. I'm able to lift more weight now, and I've gained some weight. I'm in the 165-170 range. I need to buy some new jeans because the smaller ones that I have don't fit me so well anymore. I'm not sure how heavy I want to get. There's a technique that weightlifters do involving bulking up with weight and then cutting down to trim off the fat and leave the muscle. I'm trying to do that.

Well, I should study, so I'll see you all later!
